From our founder

Why I built Syncura

In 2009, I got dysentery in India. I didn't speak the language, and neither did the doctor treating me. I had no way to explain what medications I was on, what I was allergic to, or what had happened to me the week before.

That wasn't a one-time problem. Over the next several years and 17 countries, I kept hitting the same wall — my medical history was scattered across paper, memory, and languages no one around me could read.

Syncura is the tool I wish I'd had. Scan your records once, in any language. Any doctor, anywhere in the world, can read them instantly, translated, on your own phone — in person, never shared or stored anywhere else.

Built for expats and travelers who move between countries — and need their health records to move with them.

Your records should travel as easily as you do.

Sound familiar?

These moments shouldn't exist in 2026.

If you've lived or traveled abroad, you already know the pain. Your health records are trapped in systems that were never designed to follow you.

The 2am emergency

Hospitalised abroad. The doctor speaks no English. You're allergic to the medication they're about to administer. Your records are in a portal you can't access from this country.

“Do you have any allergies?” Probably. My records are… somewhere.

The new doctor problem

You're at a clinic in a new country. They ask for your medical history. You're scrolling through emails trying to find a PDF from three countries ago.

“Can you get your records sent over?” Sure. From which of the four countries?

The lost referral

A specialist abroad recommended follow-up tests. You moved. The referral letter is in a system you can no longer access. You start the diagnostic process all over again.

“We'll need to redo the bloodwork.” You had it done 3 weeks ago.

The vaccination guessing game

A new country requires proof of vaccinations for a visa or school enrollment. Your records are split between your childhood GP, a travel clinic, and a pharmacy abroad.

“We need your complete vaccination history.” You haven't had a complete anything in years.

You don't have to keep scrambling.
